6 Things To Look For When Choosing A Photo Booth For Your Next Event

Updated: Jun 21

Having a #PhotoBooth at your next event is a wonderful way to turn any occasion into a delightful experience for you and your guest to always remember. With choosing the right #Photo Booth that fits your event style best, you can transform any occasion into an unforgettable moment. We will explore some helpful deciding factors in choosing a #Photo Booth for your next #event.

1. Location: Where are the Photo Booths near me?

If you are still in the process of choosing a #location for your next event, keep in mind, most #vendors charge a #travelfee if you are outside a certain mile radius from your largest city. If you can choose a location with-in that radius, it most definitely can save you a few extra dollars.

What is a travel fee?

A travel fee is an additional fee added to your standard pricing. Based on the distance one travels. The further one travels, the higher the travel fee.

Why do people charge travel fees?

If a client needs you to drive 73 miles outside your radius, your standard pricing may no longer be profitable. Travel fees allow you to service a larger geographic area by offering clients the option to compensate you for #travel.

The #location with-in your event matters. When thinking about renting a photo booth for your event, you want to make sure you have a spot for the Photo Booth to set up. This can be a designated spot outdoors or a reserved area inside where your guest can have full access to.

Many people ask if our #PhotoBoothCamper can be indoors and the answer is yes! Of course, If your venue has a large enough opening for the #camper to fit through.

2. Style: What photo booth do I choose?

There are many different photo booth styles to choose from, we are a Photo Booth Camper. Here is a list of different photo booth options,

-Mirror Photo Booth

-360 Photo Booth

-Camper Photo Booth (Enclosed)

-Open Air Photo Booth

-Classic Photo Booth

As you can see from the list above, there are plenty photo booth options to choose from, but that’s not all. You want to make sure that the aesthetic of the photo booth you choose fits the aesthetic of your event. This could be the backdrops that they offer, props or any exterior decor.

Here are a few questions you can ask the vendor...

-Do you allow me to decorate around or on your set up?

-Am I allowed to bring my own #props?

-What personal touches can I add to this photo booth?

-Can I #customize my own photo strip?

You want to be able to work with a vendor who is #flexible, after all, you are paying for their #service. Which leads me to my third point, customer service.

3. Customer Service

70% of buying experiences are influenced by how the customer feels they’re being treated.

Here are 4 reasonable expectations you should have for your vendors...

1) A vendor should respond within 24 hours of your request.

2) While, of course, it's important to plan ahead, sometimes emergencies happen. A vendor should be willing to do anything and everything they can to help.

3) Your vendor should be proactive and reach out to you once your event date is approaching.

4) Finally, your vendor should be looking out for your best interests.

5. Equipment, Lighting, Photo Quality: Lighting

Maximum brightness is the most important factor to think about.

Our photo camper features #professional grade imagery and printing equipment, as well as a large touch screen monitor with live preview. Integrated #studio lighting and our #clean crisp white walls ensure the best photo quality. Our iconic star wall not only gives maximum brightness but also gives a one-of-a-kind experience to your event.

In addition, photo booth lighting is often used in to help create a more flattering appearance for the subject’s face. Shadows are minimized, and wrinkles and blemishes become less noticeable with an additional light source or two. With additional lighting, we are able to create high quality photos.

When #building our camper, we intentionally did not add windows to minimize any external shadows. It creates a controlled lighting environment, eliminating harsh shadows and providing consistent lighting on your products. The bright white interior diffuses light and provides a clean photo.

Equipment & Photo Quality:

You’ll want to hire someone who can take high-resolution shots on a pro-level DSLR or mirrorless camera. Steer clear of companies that rely on point-and-shoots or iPads with little to no additional lighting. You won’t be happy with the result.

6. Price: How much does a Photo Booth cost?

Depending on what kind of photo booth you opt for, #pricing will vary.

Location and the Duration of Rental can be a significant part of the cost. Renting the booth for a longer period will, of course, cost more.

Shop around, compare companies pricing, and see whose service best aligns with your needs. The right photo booth will make a great addition to your event.
